Objective

This piece is designed for the BBC TV show Sherlock as title sequence. The purposes for creating this piece are to show the staffs of the show, to provide some hints of the story and to set up the basic mood of the story.

Concept

"Rewind" is the basic concept behind the title sequence; which is a metaphor of solving cases. Four important stage props, gun, violin, cell phone and apple, are used to represent four important characters and their most memorable moment in the show.

The gun represent the scene when Doctor Watson shot the criminal to save Sherlock Holmes. The violin represent the scenes when Sherlock Holmes played violin and thinking about cases. The cell phone represent the scene when Irene Adler set "I am Sherlocked" as her phone pass code. The apple represent the scene when Jim Moriarty met Sherlock at his home and bite his apple to leave the message "I O U".
